Cellulite is a common concern for many people—in fact, as many as 90% of women will experience cellulite on the buttocks and thighs1. We understand how frustrating it can be to have stubborn areas of cellulite that just won’t go away. That’s why we offer patients in Houston, TX, and the surrounding areas Avéli, a cutting-edge technology that provides a minimally invasive solution to cellulite reduction. Our team of experienced plastic surgeons and medical professionals are committed to working with you to achieve your desired results.

What is Avéli?

The Avéli treatment is a non-surgical procedure that focuses on reducing cellulite in the buttocks and thighs in a single session. Unlike other treatments, Avéli works by targeting the subdermal connections that cause cellulite, which is known as septa. These tight vertical bands of fibrous collagen run under the skin and create the dimpled appearance of cellulite. Avéli releases these septa to effectively smooth away the appearance of cellulite.

Benefits of Avéli

Avéli has been clinically proven to be a safe, effective, and minimally invasive treatment that delivers immediate results without any significant downtime needed. This innovative treatment works to smooth and rejuvenate the skin, providing long-lasting results that can help you achieve a more youthful appearance.

How Does Avéli Work?

Avéli Preparation

Prior to an Avéli treatment, there is little preparation required. During your consultation at My Houston Surgeons, your provider will inform you of what to expect during every step of your procedure to ensure that Avéli is right for you. During this initial appointment, you can ask any questions you may have about the Avéli treatment and discuss your individual goals.

What To Expect During The Avéli Treatment

During your Avéli treatment, a local anesthetic will be used to minimize any discomfort. Aveli can be performed under sedation as well, if the patient is more comfortable, or as an add-on to another surgery.

Targeting the dimples caused by cellulite on the buttocks and thighs, your provider will make a small incision in the treatment area and use the Avéli device to carefully sever the septae bands. The Avéli procedure typically takes roughly an hour to complete.

Avéli Recovery

After your Avéli treatment, there is no downtime required, and most patients feel comfortable resuming their normal activities immediately. However, strenuous exercise should be avoided for a few days. Mild swelling, bruising, and tenderness are common for several days following treatment, and your provider may recommend a compression garment to minimize swelling and promote faster healing.
