Implant Based Reconstruction
Consultations offered at our two convenient locations in Houston and The Woodlands, TX

Implant-based breast reconstruction is one of the most commonly performed methods for restoring breast shape after mastectomy. This approach uses a saline or silicone breast implant to recreate the breast mound. In many cases, reconstruction begins with the placement of a tissue expander, which gradually stretches the skin and muscle before a permanent implant is inserted. Implant-based reconstruction typically involves a shorter initial surgery and recovery time compared to flap procedures, and it can often be performed at the same time as a mastectomy. For many patients, this option provides a reliable and predictable way to restore breast symmetry and appearance.
