Candidates

Good candidates for VI Peel treatments are typically individuals who want to improve mild to moderate imperfections in the skin, including sun damage, dark spots, melasma, fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, and rough texture.

Expectations

The VI Peel is a non-invasive painless treatment, and during application can feel like mild tingling. VI Peel treatments take approximately 30 minutes and begin with cleansing the treatment area with acetone to degrease the skin and ensure the peel’s acids and vitamins can deeply penetrate the dermis. This is followed by the application of several layers of peel solution which takes only minutes. Once the VI Peel solution has penetrated the skin completely sunscreen will be applied. Patients can expect to leave with the solution on instructions on when to rinse it off at home.

Recovery

Following a VI Peel, there is no downtime, however, patients should avoid wetting the treated area for at least 24 hours and avoid sun exposure and makeup until the skin has had a chance to fully heal. Patients should expect mild pain, irritation, flaking, and redness, for roughly one week following treatment, beginning on day three and culminating on day seven.

Results

Patients can expect to see visible improvements to treated skin approximately one week following treatment after the skin has finished peeling. Full results are apparent in 4-6 weeks, when the skin will be noticeably clearer, firmer, and have a radiant and youthful glow.
