Meet The My Houston Surgeons Team

Amy Hoffman, Practice Administrator

Amy is responsible for all operational aspects of our busy multi-specialty practice. As a Texas native, this University of Houston graduate has worked alongside Dr. Boutros since 2006. “He’s a remarkable man, both in his character and his tremendous clinical skills that have helped transform the lives of so many patients,” Amy explains. “We’re always looking for new MHS teammates that have a passion for people and overall excellence,” she adds. She enjoys accompanying Dr. Boutros and the MHS team on annual surgical mission trips. When she’s not working, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband Patrick and their two active children.

Cathy Meredith, RN, NP, MBA

Breast Cancer Relations Coordinator & SVP, Business Development & Operations

Cathy joined MHS in June of 2018 and has a dual role in our practice. She is our Breast Cancer Coordinator as well as our Senior Vice President of Operations and Business Development. She has been in the medical field since 1994 in various roles throughout the Houston area, but has spent most of her career working with the Memorial Hermann Healthcare system. She received her Master’s in Nursing from University of Texas Health Science Center in 2001 and her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Houston in 2011. After receiving a diagnosis of bilateral breast cancer in September of 2016, she decided to change her career path and join MHS so that she could work with breast cancer patients to connect them to resources and offer support as someone who has been through that journey. She has been married to Edward Luedtke who owns Divetech scuba here in Houston since 2005. She enjoys scuba diving, traveling, CrossFit, reading, and hanging out with friends/family. She is incredibly excited to be part of the MHS team and have the capability to pay it forward with women who are diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

Leticia Sanchez, Insurance

Leticia is a principled “powerhouse” of hard work and determination. This native-Houstonian is responsible for all financial matters at the practice, and has worked alongside Dr. Boutros for the last decade. Leticia has built her team to more than a dozen insurance verification specialists. Leticia explains her success, “Because of his extreme specialized skill, we have experience getting approvals from insurance carriers that know the results and outcomes he consistently delivers. As a patient; we advocate and fight for you.” she added. Letty enjoys accompanying Dr. Boutros and the entire My Houston Surgeons team on our annual surgical mission trips.

Kara McAfee, M.S., PA-C

Kara was born and raised in New Boston, Texas.  She graduated with high honors from the University of Texas at Austin and completed her master’s degree in PA studies at Baylor College of Medicine.  She has worked as a physician assistant since 2004, with 8 of those years in reconstructive plastic surgery. She has enjoyed working alongside Dr. Boutros and the other physicians and staff of MHS for the last 5 years.  Kara especially loves her time as a PA spent helping breast cancer patients in their walks to full restoration and recovery. She feels blessed to have joined Dr. Boutros’s surgical mission trips with Faith in Practice on several occasions and has particularly treasured her time helping the people of Guatemala.  Outside of work, she enjoys playing tennis, traveling, snow skiing, reading, and attending her kids’ many sporting events and shows. Kara is happily married and loves spending time with her husband, their two amazing children, and their Golden Retriever.

Katie Hoffman, Clinical Manager, RN, BSN

Katie Hoffman, B.S.N., R.N. is the most senior nurse at My Houston Surgeons. She is from the small town of Nada, Texas where her father is a rice farmer. She’s a country girl that enjoys hunting/fishing and being outdoors. Katie prides herself on being able to provide compassion and understanding that exudes through her patient care.

Stephanie Cooper, Patient Care / Surgery Coordinator

Stephanie Cooper has been with the practice since 2012. She earned her Bachelors of Science from the University of Texas at Tyler and worked in health care for over a decade. When you are consulting with Dr. Rednam or Dr. Boutros, Stephanie will be an integral part of your experience with our practice. She excels at discussing all details of the surgical plan and makes scheduling surgery with our office effortless for our patients! She loves her ridiculously handsome husband, Chris, two kiddos named Christopher and Wyatt, an old yellow lab named Dually, and (she’s ashamed to admit) a Chiweenie named Lil’ Ting. She is also passionate about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, eating a 90% plant-based diet and exercising regularly.

Morgan Webster, Patient Care / Surgery Coordinator

Morgan Webster is beyond blessed to be a part of the MHS team, and to work with Dr. Reis and Dr. Harirchian. Morgan and her husband (talk radio personality, Producer Kenny of the Walton & Johnson Show and Micheal Berry Show) are Houstonian-transplants by way of Chicago. Morgan received her Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Columbia College Chicago, as well as two Midwest Emmy nominations for her work in production and reporting. Her investigative reporting work has been published in several Chicago news outlets including the Chicago Tribune. Morgan has always had a passion for musical performance. She spent her twenties singing and dancing in review shows at Six Flags Great America, and although she never studied musical theater at Columbia she starred in several of their main stage shows, including her favorite musical of all time – Westside Story. She loves travel and adventure, and in 2005 was a contestant on CBS’s Survivor: Guatemala. Her and her husband spend their free time road-tripping around Texas, and have made it their life mission to convince their family back in Illinois to move down to the great state of Texas!

Jana Haggard, B.S.N., RN

Jana has served in the nursing field since April 2012. Her nursing career began in the Operating Room at Memorial Hermann Hospital- TMC, where she was first introduced to the surgeons within this practice. After a few years, she was asked to join their ranks. Jana loves the variety of care she gets to offer her patients at My Houston Surgeons in the roles of pre-operative, clinical, operating room and recovery nurse. Aside from work, she is happily married and lives nearby in Southwest Houston. Jana has one yellow lab and a beautiful baby girl. Fall is her favorite time of year where she gets to root on the football team at her alma mater, Texas A&M University. Whoop!

Destiny Thompson, CSFA, CST, CRCST

Destiny Thompson is a first assist who has been in the medical field since 2011. She started out working at a level 1 trauma center here in Houston where she gained specialized training in 12 different surgical specialties including plastics, neuro, robotics, & trauma. Destiny grew up in the small town of Colmesneil two hours outside of Houston. She loves traveling every chance she gets, and has been on multiple surgical mission trips to India and Guatemala. Destiny is actively involved in numerous organizations to help further the field of surgical assisting as well as helping develop an organization to combat homelessness here in Houston. She is very passionate about our patients and the difference we make in their lives through surgery.

Jacqueline Makovy, Medical Assistant

Jacqueline joined MHS in 2016 and works in our practice as a Medical Assistant. She grew up right outside Houston and attended Auburn University where she earned her BS in Biology. Jacqueline is passionate about assisting patients in their journey before and after surgery. She helps to ensure that every patient and their family members have a great experience.

Monica Mota, Medical Assistant

Monica Mota has been in the medical field since 2014. She was born and raised in Houston, where she enjoys living with her husband, two sons, and daughter. When she’s not working she likes to spend time with her family. She graduated from Milby High School and continued her studies at Sanford Brown College. She’s a friendly person who genuinely loves people. She has grown to love and enjoy the world of plastic surgery because she can watch how it positively impacts patient lives. As a medical assistant she is able to interact with people from all different backgrounds and fulfill her desire to serve people with compassion.

Sheneria Taylor, Social Media / Marketing Liaison

Sheneria was born and raised in Houston, TX. She received her BA of Arts in Communications with a focus on Multimedia Journalism and a minor in Human Performance from Houston’s very own Texas Southern University. She comes to us as the Social Media/ Marketing Liason. She has hosted and planned numerous events around Houston, and is also a professional photographer and make-up artist with published work. She has always been very creative so being able to channel that into a company like My Houston Surgeons is a reward within itself.  Her spare time is spent with her two daughters, other family and friends.

Crystal Gardiner, Medical Assistant, The Woodlands

Crystal joined MHS in 2017 as a medical assistant. She is continuing her education to bring more to the practice. She provides passionate care and develops a strong rapport with patients. “I’m lucky to be working with an amazing team and the best surgeons,” Crystal explains.


Megean Creed, Front Office Coordinator, The Woodlands Office

Megean is the front office coordinator for The Woodlands office of My Houston Surgeons. She was born and raised in Houston. She joined My Houston Surgeons in 2017 with the opening of The Woodlands location. She was a Registered Dental Assistant for 3 years prior to joining the MHS team. Megean has two precious daughters and enjoys spending time with her husband and watching him perform with his country band; Southern County Line.

Erin Ho, M.S., PA-C

Erin grew up in Pearland, TX. She attended the University of Texas in Austin and graduated with a BS in Human Development and Family Science. Later she attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and received her master’s degree as a certified Physician Assistant. To her, plastic and reconstructive surgery is a beautiful combination of art and medicine. Her professional goal is to provide aesthetically pleasing as well as compassionate, individualized and evidence-based medical care for all patients. During her time off, she enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family and friends. She is incredibly honored to be a member of My Houston Surgeons and excited to meet you!

Florella Ayala, B.S.N., RN

Florella was born and raised in Houston, TX. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She mostly enjoys being able to provide compassion and support to her patients and their loved ones. She loves traveling and being outdoors. Her spare time is spent with her family, friends, and her fur baby Ollie who is a handsome Chiweenie mix. She feels blessed to be a part of such an amazing and hard-working team that always strives to provide the best patient care.

Hillary Huettel, B.S.N., RN

Hillary Huettel is a native Houstonian and finished her BSN at the University Of Texas, Cizik School Of Nursing in May 2019. She also has a BBA in Marketing from the University of Houston and after a short stent in the cooperate world, she decided to stay at home with her son and daughter. As they are now 20 and 17, Hillary decided to return to school and pursue a field she always felt drawn to, nursing. Hillary is excited to join the MHS team and looks forward to being a part of each patient’s cosmetic or reconstructive journey. She enjoys travelling and spending her free time with her husband, Kyle, their two children and their two French Bulldogs at their place on the Frio River.

Monica De Los Santos

Monica is our Surgery Authorization Analyst at MHS. Monica was born and raised in Houston,Tx. She graduated from Lamar High School and continuing her education to become a RN. Monica is passionate to helping patients receive the best customer service and the difference we make in their lives through surgery. “I’m so grateful to be working with an spectacular team and the absolute best surgeons.” Monica explains. In her free time, she enjoys working out, and spending time with her daughter and friends.

Cheryl Celaya, B.S.N., RN

Cheryl Celaya is a practicing nurse with over 20 years of experience in the medical field and works as the operating room nurse for My Houston Surgeons. Cheryl has leveraged her prior experience with oral and maxillofacial surgery associates where she held roles of increasing responsibility from clinical coordinator to nurse manager. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing and holds several certifications in neurotoxin and facial filler, anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and radiology. Both, she and her daughter have been proud members of the National Charity League of Katy for the past five years. Cheryl resides in Katy with her husband and two children.

Mandy Rodriguez

Mandy grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. While at TAMUCC, she was a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta, a pre-med honor society. Volunteering in her community was a huge part of the membership. Her volunteering experiences enhanced her need to be there for others. She has always enjoyed being helpful and loves assisting our patients as our Lead Front Office Coordinator. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Josh. In her spare time, Mandy delights in cheering for her Aggies, floating the Comal River, working out, and vacationing with Josh and their two kids, Marcus and William. She also enjoys long walks on the beach.

Cheryl Lynn Ciancio

Cheryl Lynn Ciancio is our newest member to join our team bringing five years experience as a patient coordinator in the plastic surgery field. Cheryl says the best part of her day is the connection she makes with each and every patient while helping them along in their surgical process. When not at work Cheryl enjoys spending time with her sweet husband Brian, and his two children Molly and Liam. Cheryl loves her morning runs and super sweaty workouts, traveling, crossword puzzles, live music, playing in the rain, chicken fried steak with cream gravy, college football and the LSU Tigers.
